Isobel Howick Isobel Howick and her family ran an egg and poultry business started by her father. She has lived in the fairfield area for most of her life and is an active volunteer at the Fairfield City Museum.

... from where the school was right down to King Road was a big dairy farm we used to love to go over, I used to love to go over and pick mushrooms and the dairy farm went from King Road and right up to probably where Nangar Street is now and up to, round up through beside the school up to… no up past the school and then back across right over to where Lavender Place is now — they had a slaughter house and all there in those days.
