Betty Jury Betty Jury has spent most of her life living in the Fairfield area. As a child there were Chinese market gardens on both sides of her family's property.

Well Canley Vale was very, very tiny. There was a butcher and there was the old store… corner store called Morrisons and there was a garage and opposite that was a little hardware store and run by Stimson the name of the people that had that because I remember my mum used to give me two shillings to go down and pay her Star Bouquet.
