June and George Petersen June and George Petersen have a long history with the Fairfield area. They are life long members of the Fairfield City Museum and played a major part in its establishment.

George Petersen: ... there was a butcher shop there, where the funeral parlour is and the office shop, that was the butcher shop. Next door to that was the BP service station which was... and next door to that was Janice Crosio’s little shop. And next to Janice Crosio’s shop and Cumberland Highway was another butcher shop.
