Thelma Daley

Thelma was born in Shanghai in 1928, where she spent many of her early years. Her parents moved to Canley Vale and had a shop in Delamere St.

the home was completed. We then duly moved to the famous 55 Nelson Street where we - stayed there for 36 years, 36 or . nearly 39 years. And of course by this time the different blocks were taken. Then they even had - in our street, tidied it up. And then of course before we left Mum's place in Delamere Street they even had - the saints preserve us - fixed the road up and tarred that! But I can recall walking down Sackville Street on the dirt track - whether rain or shine - it was a terrible street.
