Robert Crosby

Robert and his family had a dairy farm in Bossley Park. The land they once owned is now a part of Fairfield City Farm and the Western Sydney Regional Park.

People used to stream across Cowpasture Road, through our paddocks, over to pick peas. They used to pick them on contract and be paid so much a kerosene tin for picking them. Women, kids blokes. That used to be a sight to see in the winter of a Sunday. They came from everywhere - cos everyone had to walk in them days. Pushbikes or a sulky might be the - the only thing the sulky, you had to feed the horse - so a pushbike was the best.
