... and people were complaining, much later we found that people complained about the Housing Commission and all the lack of facilities. Fairfield West was exactly the same. We did have a bus down the bottom, we had a Baby Health Centre, but I was the only person that had a car, because my husband didn’t drive, and he taught at the school that he could walk to. So I was the only person that had transport. We all had to catch a bus, other people had to catch the bus to go the Baby Health Centre, had to catch the bus to go shopping. We, of course, didn’t have sewerage there.
