Christina Eddy

Christina was born in Tamworth and lived in Sydney until she and her husband Cliff purchased land in Fairfield. She has been a resident since and an active member of the Fairfield City Museum.

Yes well it was quiet. Polding Street was just a dirt road. There were pot holes in it that were as large as almost a house but there weren't very many cars. There were a few horses and sulkies and bicycles, push bikes. And we had been told when we came to live in Polding Street that one day it was scheduled to be a main road but we couldn't see it not for the life of us.
