Eileen Walker

Eileen Walker and her family moved to the area in 1932. She speaks here about the establishment of St Peter's church and services held around Mount Pritchard.

Well, the priest would only come out once a month, so we only went to church once a month, but on the other three Sundays, we went to a dear lady's house in Hemphill Avenue and her name was Mrs Mary White and she gave us Catholic Sunday School, piano and singing and afternoon tea and a beautiful Sunday those other three times.
