Malcolm Wheatley

Malcolm Wheatley was born in 1914 and has been a resident of the Fairfield since his father began working in the original Wheatleys store. He recalls many events from his and Fairfield's history here.

Friday-night was a late shopping till 9pm. A band would move along The Crescent with the drums banging with Torry Edwards bursting his cheeks on the trump. Torry Edwards was the hairdresser in the billiard saloon.
