Thuy Nguyen

Thuy Nguyen was the youngest in her family. When she escaped Vietnam with her brother and sister, she quickly adapted to her new life in Australia.

If you think that the person has anything against you in terms of you know racist then you look at everyone, anything they do you think it’s because of that. I block it out and just treat them or I just ignored their remarks or whatever. So it doesn’t bother me at all and I am quite lucky that even in school, all the teachers, even at work, in the neighbourhood, I don’t feel that at all. I think, part of it because I can’t be bothered with that. It just doesn’t bother me. You know what I mean. Further because people are genuinely not racist.
